Tallinna haridustöötajatele tasutaDaniela Romano is a teacher for special needs students at Scuola Secondaria di primo grado (11/14 years old) “Leonardo Sciascia” in Camporeale, a short rural village near Palermo, Sicily. She got her University degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, then a University degree in Laws and another one in Sciences of Public Administration. Then she went to a Doctorate in Intercultural Pedagogy with a research made on prejudice existing between police officers and immigrants. She had two articles published in pedagogical manuals/reviews. Today she is responsible for methodological experimentation and research in her school, also Erasmus projects and she is the supervisor to teachers of students with special needs.
Target group:
Teachers and principals.
Learning outcomes:
- The participants can analyze the Italian inclusive school system, opening their view to new possible challenges, evaluating pros and cons of the complete and real inclusion of students with special needs in normal classes.
- The participants can discover strategies and tools to improve their teaching methods to face problems dealing with students with special needs.
