Tallinn Teachers’ House Invites You to the Classical Music Evening “De Profundis”07.10.2026

On 12 October, Ensemble Alekton, an ensemble dedicated to contemporary music, will take the stage at Tallinn Teachers’ House.

The concert creates an engaging dialogue between composers of different generations, bringing together the fresh ideas of contemporary music with the distinctive musical languages of some of the most remarkable composers of the 20th century.

The programme combines works by internationally acclaimed composers with new pieces completed in 2026. The audience will hear string quartets by Erkki-Sven Tüür and Sofia Gubaidulina, Gubaidulina’s solo accordion work De Profundis, and Maurice Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello.

The programme also features three new works: Kutsung by Georg Jakob Salumäe, Melikale by Reza Kazazi, and Finding the Way Out by Dimitrios Konstantinos Rizos.
